The Wheels of Heaven is a coming-of-age fantasy thriller directed by Ben Charles Edwards starring the Academy Award Nominee Mickey Rourke.

The rebellious Iva meets a mysterious, charming boy who gives her the strength to confront serious existential problems and find her way in life. Is the young stranger the fallen angel Lucifer, sent to guide Iva to her destiny and save the human race? Or is he simply a mad, misguided, or dangerous young man? These will be the questions that viewers seek answers to until the very end of the film.

The Wheels of Heaven is both a fantasy thriller and a touching coming-of-age drama with subtle English humor. The idea is inspired by Mark Twain's novel - "The Mysterious Stranger" and examines the dualism between "good" and "evil", exploring how these concepts relate to life, as well as the delicate balance between them. To quote a line from the film: "There is darkness in the most virtuous and light in the most depraved". The film was shot in 39 locations throughout Bulgaria, as well as in LA and London.
