iZotope's Neutron Mixing Plugin

The prospect of iZotope's new plugin is both scary and awesome at the same time. A plugin that promises to actively listen to a source, automatically mix it for you, and then mix all other sources in your track in relation to each other to create the finished article. Pretty crazy right? There's an argument to be had here about taking the art out of mixing and allowing music making to be completely automated... However, like most of iZotope's software it's aimed at taking the fuss and mystique out of music production for us mere mortals, in order to allow more time and effort to be spent on the music making process. What Features does iZotope's Neutron Mixing Plugin have?

Track Assistant

  • Automatically detects different instrument types like guitar, vocals, bass, and drums

  • Creates custom, optimal starting points based on your audio tracks

  • Offers three levels of power, from Subtle to Medium to Aggressive

  • Adds Neutrino’s Spectral Shaping sound for subtle focus and clarity

  • Intelligently places EQ nodes and creates an EQ curve

  • Sets optimal settings for signal flow, including single or multiband processing

  • Smartly places crossovers in multiband modes
